Joseph Kleitsch is considered one of the prominent artists of the California Impressionist school of painting. Remembered for his landscapes, portraiture, and still life paintings, his work is highly sought-after and appreciated among art admirers, collectors, and historians alike. He was a leading figure and resident of Laguna Beach in the 1920's, which was regarded as California's premier artist colony of the period.
